Prevent auto-conversion of pages created with a Legacy Template

      Problem Definition

      New pages being created with a Legacy Template (a template created with the Legacy Editor) will be automatically converted to the new Cloud editor when the 'Convert pages automatically' setting is enabled at Space level.

      The automatic conversion happens regardless if any Legacy elements are not fully supported in the new Editor as per Understanding legacy editor element conversion in Confluence Cloud.

      Suggested Solution

      Prevent the automatic conversion of pages created using a Legacy Template with unsupported or partially supported elements.

      Workaround

      The automatic conversion will not happen if the 'Convert pages automatically' parameter is disabled at Site level.

      In order to do this:

      1. Navigate to the Space
      2. Click on Space Settings
      3. Under Manage space, click on Convert Pages
      4. Un-select 'Convert pages automatically'
