Workflow editor mangles layout after saving/publishing

      Make a new workflow and give it a pretty layout like the first screenshot.

      Save, the layout gets mangled to the second screenshot.

      Bascially, a hard-to-predict subset of the transition arrow endpoints get reset to the center of the respective state boxes.
