Confluence has the option of hyperlinks but manually have to upload files from Windows machine. However, it's quite time-consuming to upload then and hence looking for a way to insert a link or path to local files. There should be a macro that allows users to browse through the files and insert them as the path/link to those files. For example, file://path_to_my_file/myfile.txt.
Note: It works in preview mode but after publishing the page it won't be taking it as a link.
Already checked in the kb: https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/cannot-link-to-local-files-from-within-confluence-216958257.html but the workaround provided is not a feasible option.
