Hi everyone, thank you for all the feedback on this suggestion. We now support NFSv4 for the shared home if all Git repositories have been migrated from NFS to Bitbucket Mesh. For more information about Bitbucket Mesh see our documentation and white paper.

Original Problem Definition
Customers running on NFS4 (NFSv4) could potentially experience performance issue with Bitbucket Server.
Suggested Solution
Make sure that NFS4 can be used as the shared filesystem for Bitbucket Server.
Workaround
At the moment, the recommendation is to use NFS version 3.
Here is an example
<server:/export> </mount-point> nfs noatime,nfsvers=3,lookupcache=pos,proto=tcp,rsize=65536,wsize=65536,hard,addr=<host> 0 0
